About Us

We are Karen and Andrew and we started Little Pickle at the Mill in May 2023, nearly 12 years after opening out first cafe, Little Pickle Deli Café in Boscombe in 2012. Now it's time for another adventure and we are delighted to be starting one here in Wimborne Minster.

We are family-run with a strong sense of community, we are passionate about the environment and are always trying to make sure our processes are as sustainable as possible.

Our award winning café is situated at the wonderful Walford Mill Crafts in Wimborne, home to some beautiful makers, creatives and artists. Nestled between two chalk streams, it’s an idyllic spot to have a picnic lunch, meet up with friends and spend a few hours.

What are your opening hours?

Tuesday to Sunday, please see our website for opening times.
Do you have outdoor seating?

Yes, we have a beautiful outdoor courtyard with a seating area for you to enjoy your coffee in the fresh air. We also have a small terrace overlooking the river with a cozy log burner.
Are Dogs welcome?

Yes, we love our four legged friends
Do you offer free Wi-Fi?

No, we are WIFI free and proud of it
Do you have vegetarian, vegan options?

Yes we do! We offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan options. Check our menu for details. Please note: Our kitchen is not nut or gluten free, please advise of any food allergies upon arrival.
Do you offer dairy-free milk alternatives?

Yes, we offer free alternative milks with your hot drinks including oat and soya
What kind of food and drinks do you offer?

We serve a variety of freshly brewed coffee, teas, smoothies, and specialty drinks. Our food menu includes Brunch - Pastries - Sausage Rolls - Brownies - Cakes - Afternoon Tea
Do you serve alcohol?

Yes we sell wine, Prosecco, local ales, and ciders
Do you take reservations?

Monday - Friday: We can take a limited number of reservations for tables of 4 or more people or Afternoon Tea. At the weekend we only take bookings for afternoon tea and groups of 6 or more. We don't currently take reservations for the river terrace or the courtyard, the tables are available on a 'if it's free you can sit there' basis. You can reserve a table by calling us on 07880 827276 during café hours
Can I book the café for private events?

Yes! We offer private bespoke event packages. Please email us at littlepicklethemill@outlook.com for more details and pricing. We can host a variety of events from baby showers, birthday celebrations, wakes, engagement parties any life event you wish to celebrate. The café is available to hire privately in the evenings from 5pm. Food options include traditional buffets, grazing tables, BBQ, picnic baskets or cheese boards, but happy to talk through your own ideas to bring your event to life Please contact us and we can chat about your event details further 07880827276
Do you offer Afternoon Tea?

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, we offer digital gift cards online or paper versions in the café, Buy one here online .
Do you have parking available?

Yes, just behind Walford Mill there is a pay and display car park
Is the café wheelchair friendly?

Yes we have accessible toilets and ramps into the café from both entrances.
Is there a baby change facility?

Yes in our café toilet we have a baby changing station.
Do you cater for children?

We have a few items especially for children and our kids afternoon tea is popular.
